Gleam is a functional programming language for the Erlang BEAM virtual machine, bringing a modern perspective to a rock-solid VM for all sorts of software development. In this presentation, we're going to take a quick look at Gleam, it's syntax and semantics, as well as its ability to interoperate with other langauges on or off the BEAM VM, with quick diversions on how to build things from web applications to CLI tools.
