Zig is a "general-purpose programming language and toolchain for maintaining robust, optimal and reusable software", and makes some interesting claims, one of which is that it competes with C (rather than just interoperates with it) and uses C libraries better than C does. In short, Zig is a system-level native-compilation language, and in this presentation, we'll take a hard look at this language that looks to prove a faster-and-safer C.
