With the rise of ASP.NET Core and other refactored systems, Microsoft has begun to unify the idea of "hosting" and dependency injection into a single set of libraries and idioms. In this presentation, we'll explore this space, including the Inversion-of-Control (IoC) ideas that underlie it, and demystify what--precisely--is going on when the .NET runtime begins executing those Builders and Configure methods.
